Yearly Archives: 2014
I wanted to share the breath of “ah!” and “wow!” I had recently seeing the large, full moon and then the lunar eclipse. I popped out of my door as I was getting ready to go be with the babies I am helping care for and teach (one of whom turned one that day!), and then, when I got to work I spent a minute seeing the moon again before I came into the building. I was so excited that I left notes (and messages) for a few friends and family and was so grateful to my mother for sending me a reminder about the lunar eclipse. It then came up with a client as well and I read a little bit about meanings some associate with this eclipse and “Blood Moon” and the ideas of possibilities and being conscious and caring about what is happening as confusions can evolve resonated with me. The amazement of the moon and the sense of joy and possibility, a respect and also joyful celebration of the moon, myself, and the Universe generally are what I am left with at the moment and that reminder of the power we have to make choices.
Am now leading a new schedule and having the joy of looking after and helping very young children learn things and being part of an organization focused partly on this. The infants are truly amazing!, and I continue to have opportunities to do more with my wellness work and explore new creative possibilities to share some of what brings me joy and is important to me. I was also reminded that my updates here have been much delayed, so I will write a short morning-time entry.
We also are exploring ways to help our cat–an extremely social, sweet, and curious little one–adjust to my leaving in the morning so early. He was right here a few minutes ago cozying with me as I ate my breakfast. The last week, he spoke up in a clear way as little ones do, by not using the litter box. Talking to the vet, we got confirmation it was likely the change in schedule. So, rather than having him be fed later, I now am feeding him before he leaves and he’s keeping me company in the morning which we both like! And here he returns to look out the window on his chair…as we start the day in each other’s company.
And I have found myself in the week since I began this schedule feeling excited and aligned mostly with the schedule (yes, with sometimes a morning “wow, time to get up!” like this morning :)….I also got extra sleep last night so my first-in-a-while cold-stuffiness has lessened. Much to be grateful for!
Hope you will consider taking me up on the free introductory wellness sessions I offer and then possibly having me be a part of your wellness work and life’s adventures. I realized recently that a part of what I definintely would like to help with is your current and past stresses, whether large or small. As I wrote recently to describe my work, in case it resonates with you differently than what’s on my website now:
“I offer wellness coaching from a heart-centered space, with particular interest in addressing any stresses, past and present, and helping you have a more happier life. On Saturday, I can offer mini-sessions focused on any area of your wellness that is a fit for our time together–emotional, physical, communication, goal-setting, etc. using talking, writing, organizing, Reiki, meditation, and/or EFT. I offer my services and insights without a medical or psychological background or certifications other than beginning Reiki and EFT. I look forward to working with you.”
With that, it’s time for me to continue with the day and soon be outside of the house….look for in the next couple of weeks a bit of a website revamp as well!
Loving care to all!,
Wanted to invite you to celebrate the spring! If you can visit it outside, all the better, but you can also feel free to visit it through pictures, songs, smells, memories, imaginations, stories. And, anyone who is in Indianapolis, can currently see some Spring celebrations (inside, though) from yours truly at The Playful Soul. Vicki Mack and others there have made a wonderful space for the photos and helped to organize an event I was part of last weekend. I was able to join Michelle Qureshi in welcoming the Spring last Saturday, March 22nd, and celebrating with others at The Playful Soul, with my photographs and Blooms of Wonder book. It was also a lovely reminder to me how just being with friends in a celebrating, appreciating space bring such a loving and energetic peace within me! I’ve also seen some buds on the trees and a couple more crocuses since I posted about my first 2014 spring crocuses.

I also am reminded that I want to share with others and help others to celebrate and be loving and feel love. I posted my first free phone call last week, but had “no takers.” I will also try to consider more tips and shares I can make here on the website. This last week I had the joy and sometimes touching to the point of almost crying of re-reading and skimming a number of books about communication and peace that have influenced me and some that are new. So, that might be a source of sharing here and also will be reinvigorating my daily actions and heart as well as my actions in Whole Loving Wellness.
So, what I’d like is to hear for feedback is what ideas you have about what you would like me to consider sharing, or perhaps you have a book that has touched you or a spring celebration of sight, sound, smell, heart….food….etc. Please let me know! E-mail me or fill out the form on page one to submit feedback.
Much love and wishes for your celebrations and also your gentleness for yourself and others in moments of difficulty!–Kathryn
